WEDDINGS + EVENTS

Events are fun aren’t they! And flowers certainly make any event even more special.

If you are getting married, then congratulations on your engagement! I would love to help you with your florals for your wedding day.

As well as being a Flower Farmer, I am a trained florist and offer three levels of wedding floral services…

  • Create Your Own

‘Create Your Own’ with loose flowers from my farm for you to arrange yourselves. Perfect if you have a talented/creative friend or family member who has offered to help do the flowers. This option does not suit everyone’s situation, so please read below to see if it is a good fit for you.

  • Create Your Own + Bouquets & Buttonholes

‘Create Your Own’ loose stems, with the addition of Garden Style Bouquets & Buttonholes. This mix allows you to do the ceremony/reception flowers yourselves while letting me take care of the more technical job of making the bouquets and buttonholes using flowers grown on my farm.

  • Full Wedding Florals

Using flowers grown on my farm, along with flowers from other local growers, I can create your special mix of bouquets, buttonholes, ceremony and reception florals. I use sustainable ‘construction’ practices wherever possible, and do not use imported flowers. Please note that I only consider local weddings (Matakana/Warkworth region) and I only book a max of 2 weddings each month.

Is the Create Your Own option right for you?

This option is perfect for people who…

Have access to creative family or friends who are confident enough to create your florals

Are prepared to be flexible and create with whatever fresh seasonal flowers are supplied. If you wish to know what is in season – please check my Facebook and Instagram accounts, or the table below.

Love the idea of using locally-grown seasonal flowers

Can cope with minimal communication with me - this is intended to be a very low-admin option – you supply me with the relevant details, and I supply the flowers!

This option is not suitable for you if…

you need many emails or a consultation to figure out what you want or how much you need

you need advice about how to look after or arrange your flowers

you have a specific look you are trying to recreate from Pinterest

you need to know or want to specify exactly what flowers you will be getting

you want flowers that are out of season or not grown on my farm (like orchids and roses)

In this case, my full wedding service may be more suitable for you.

FAQs

Can I request specific colours?  Yes, the Curated Colour Bucket gives you this option!

Can I specify which flowers I would like? Our Create Your Own Flower Buckets contain a mix of the best of what we grow, which changes from week to week with the seasons. If you need to be more specific with flower types, then consider our full wedding package. You may also enquire about purchasing extra specific stems on top of your buckets. Please refer to our seasonal availability list to see what flowers we might have available.

How do I know how many flowers I need? Personal preference and style play a big part when it comes to deciding how dense and lush your arrangements will be, and how many blooms you will need. As a rough guide, a bucket of 60 flowers will be enough for 1 bridal bouquet, 2 bridesmaid bouquets and 2 boutonnieres or 6x1L agee jar-sized arrangements. Combining the flowers with foliage will make your flowers go further and allow larger arrangements and bouquets.

How long are the flower stems? We cut the stems as long as possible so you can cut them down to the right height. Usually they will be 40-60cm long, but some may be shorter than this.

Do you provide buckets?  Cost of the bucket is included in the price. You can return this if you wish to.

Can you show us how to make our bouquets and buttonholes? The Create Your Own buckets are designed as an option that requires minimal input from me. Making bouquets and buttonholes is not too difficult once you know a few tricks and tips. There are plenty of youtube videos that show you how. This website has really good tutorials: https://flowermoxie.com/pages/flower-tutorials  You can practice the techniques before the wedding using whatever you can forage.

How do I get my flowers?  You are welcome to pick up from the flower farm in Warkworth. If I am not here (I am often working at my Point Wells Farm) your flowers will be left in a sheltered place. Please make sure whoever is picking them up has enough room in their car – flowers are fragile! You should collect the flowers 1-2 days before your event to give you enough time to create your arrangements.

With sufficient notice, and depending on my schedule and other commitments, I may be able to deliver in the Matakana, Omaha, Warkworth area. There will be a delivery charge of $4 per km from my Warkworth Base (so delivery to Omaha would be $60)

How do I store my flowers? You will need somewhere cool to store your flowers, ideally a chiller or a cool dark room (bathrooms are often suitable). Do not leave them in the car while you do other jobs.

How long will the flowers last? This depends on the variety, and the conditions they are kept in, however if cared for correctly most flowers will last 4-7 days.

Is there a minimum order? Yes, the minimum order is one bucket.

What are the payment terms? A 50% non-refundable deposit is required upon order confirmation, with the balance due 1 week prior to collection.

How far in advance do I need to order? As early as possible, but a minimum of 2 weeks before collection. The sooner you order, the more likely we are to be able to fulfil your order, especially if you are requesting a curated Colour bucket.

How do I order? Just fill in the enquiry form below and we will get back to you as soon as we are able.
